OIC Eye Group Revival

All I want to be is a lover of Jesus, but the burning passion in my heart that stirs the urge to bring revival fire and God's love to everywhere I go is great. After impacting my campus, UC Riverside, I've been looking forward to see God impact my workplace! (Even though people tell me it's much more difficult than the campuses, I don't have a doubt in my mind that by His great love and power, all things are possible!)

It started from a simple eye examination on mid-July...

After graduation in March, I became part of the unemployment population. Seriously I've been looking everywhere but no luck. One day I went to the OIC Eye Group for an eye exam, and surprisingly, without knowing they're even hiring, I got a job there. With extreme excitement, I knew God has something awesome planned for this practice. Looking back at the past four months, I see God's fingerprints all over the place... (Almost everyone, including my boss' children experienced God and their faith grew within these four months. You can read about the details below if you would like to know what exactly happened.)

The first week, I wept and interceded for the staffs and patients during one of the IMPACT prayer meetings. Got a burden in my heart to start a Bible study at the place. Next day, my co-worker started sharing w/ me over lunch that she was praying last night and God gave her the burden to start a Bible study w/ the staffs too!! Confirmation! We started it, then more staffs joined as we worship, pray and share the Word. We told the boss about what we're doing and he was super excited, he wanted to make an announcement to the staff and personally join us too, but he's just too busy. (He even texted me to let me know he couldn't make it, now that's something.) Ok, that's a good start! :D

During 2nd month, I went to lunch w/ one staff whom I've been talking to and caring for. She shared with me before that she was pregnant when she was 18, had the kid, got kicked out by her parents, then did not marry the real dad, and now married to another guy from another state. She was upset that day and as she willingly opened herself up to me, she shared that she and her husband had a fight last night and he told her he wants a divorce. He hasn't been treating her well as she deserved. Everyday he'd go straight to his mom's house after work, then go home at around 11, 12am, and by that time her and her son were already asleep. Whenever he plans family outings he'd never include her and the son...etc. She shared that she wants to give up on love and just raise up her son by herself. I said to her, "It sounds cliche but I want to tell you that Jesus loves you." Encouraged her to bring her brokenness before Jesus for He loves to heal and love. I gave her a big hug for Jesus. She told me that her sister-in-law accidentally texted her something about going to church when it was supposed to be for another person. She took it as a confirmation and went to church that very Sunday. After a few weeks I asked her how she's doing, she said, "I've been going to church every Sunday and things are getting so much better now!" Praise God!!

Another staff, who's not a believer, started asking me many questions about God and the gospel during lunch hours. He really want to start going to church but because his wife and the rest of his family don't believe in anything, it's hard for him to go. On the last day of work, he asked me to pray for him. He felt that he's trapped in the darkness with no hope, he's trying to break open the box but he kept on getting bruised. After praying for him, the staff sitting next to me said, "Wow, I felt God's presence so strongly when you were praying. My heart felt so warm right now." The staff I prayed for was just speechless... (Cause we asked him how he's feeling, what he thinks....etc, and he couldn't answer us. lol) Thank You Jesus for touching lives here!

The day before that, one doctor called me in his office and asked me, "Hey Sarah, are you a strong Christian?" I was like... uh, I guess... yes? (Seriously, how do you answer that question?) Anyway, he asked for my advice on somethings happening w/ his church/pastor/family...etc. He really has the heart to reach out to the lost, but with his current condition (two jobs as a doctor, 1 kid and living super far away from work/church) it's hard for him to spare time. I told him that wherever he is, that's his mission field. Then I told him about the staff I mentioned in the previous paragraph, whom I prayed for, that he is hungry for God but it's difficult for him to attend church. I said, "Why don't you start discipling him? This is perfect for you!" He got excited and said he'd be happy to do so. C'mon! MPD!!

Now... wanna hear some healing testimonies? :) (sorry none of them have to do w/ eyes... haha)

One of the back assistants has trouble sleeping and suffers from constant headache. I prayed for her and the next day she told me she's never been able to sleep that well and deep before. Praise the Lord!!

One of our doctors twisted and hurt her neck while sleeping, the next day she asked me to pray for her. I laid hand on her neck and commanded the pain to leave and complete healing to come. After prayer she was like, "Wow, the place where you placed your hand got super hot as if a heating pad was on it." Then she went and touched my hand and found out my hand's not that hot. I explained to her that it's the Holy Spirit and many people experience heat during healing. Asked her how she's feeling, and she said her neck's got a lot better, prayed again and the pain completely left!! She was really really surprised and she said, "Sarah, you are so professional!!!" That cracked me up... lol! Hallelujah~! Later that day she texted me, "Thank you Sarah, I'll start going to church more!"

There were more but these are the highlights! :)

To look back, I've been working at OIC Eye Group (LaserPro Eye Center) for four months now, and today (Dec 23rd, 2009) was my last day, for God has prepared another place for me to impact.... TKO Media LLC. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in TKO as it is in heaven. Amen!! More Lord!!!

God's With Me

Spending the night at Karen's place, my ex-roommate. Watched IHOP webcast together, laid hands and prayed for each others. Her first time in a super long time feeling God's tangible presence and joy filling her from the inside out. She shared a testimony of creative miracle that happened to her mom. Karen's mom has developed gum disease, which causes her gum muscle to shrink, decay and weaken so sooner or later teeth fall out. Fake teeth would not be an option because the gum simply cannot hold them in strong enough. Right now she's in the latest stage where American doctors basically told her there's nothing they could do anymore to make it better. However, Karen shared that a while back when they prayed over her mom's condition, a new teeth grew out!! We're contending to see all the teeth grow back and gum muscle restored and strengthened. Healthy gum and teeth in Jesus' Name! Amen!

GodChaser, unity among the body of Christ, is my long term dream and I'll witness it come to past! We are history makers!! C'mon Lord raise young Daniel, Esther, Joshua up from all across the nation, let Your Kingdom come impact this generation. Amen.

Superpower!!

If you ask me what kind of superpower I would want to have, I'll ask you what's the most powerful one.

I think... the ultimate superpower that's most powerful, but the hardest to mature and excel, is the power of LOVE.

Everyone has heard of the story where a mother lifted up a car to save her child. That's what human can do when they are under certain circumstances. Some call it 狗急跳牆, I say it's the superpower of Love.

Love is a type of superpower because it heals, completes, delivers, and even saves souls! I mean, c'mon, God is love, and God is supernatural, so Love must be supernatural!! Duh! I believe signs and wonder happen because of Love.

This is super random but that "revelation" just suddenly hit me in the head a few minutes ago. So... if you got Love, you got the ultimate superpower! Woohooo!!!

Now, Jesus said that there's no greater love than a friend sacrifices his life for another friend. That's where the ultimate power of love matures at, and it does make sense because where Jesus sacrificed his life, is where the greatest power lies.

Ps. Now... I wanna walk on water, walk through walls and fly..... *0*
Hum, if I love the water, the wall, and the air enough I'll be able to do all that??

UCR Update

Jasmine from UCR just called me and gave me a campus update. She said that the walls and strongholds on campus has officially been broken down, the entire spiritual atmosphere is different now. She would walk around the campus and see people doing treasure hunt, witnessing, worshiping and praying. Crystal told her about this lady on the crutches, and she wanted to go pray for her but she's almost late for class, but she thought she would totally regret it if she didn't go so she went. Guess what the lady said, "You are the 5th person asking to pray for me, and I've only been on the crutches for three days!" This is so crazy!! Jasmine said that not just that Christians are walking the talk more now, but people who are non-believers are getting hungrier for Jesus than before!! She got that from the increasing results of weekly evangelizing of christian fellowships like KCCC, KCM, CCC, IV...etc. Not only they are bringing people to the Kingdom, they are also disciplining them too! I'm so encouraged. Like... SOOOO encouraged!!!! This is such a beautiful worship for God... people uniting in Love with each others and with God. Heart to heart connection.... wow. God I'm in awe with You. <3

Next Monday Jake Hamilton and the RHOP team will come to the last Awaken! UCR! event for this school year. It's gonna be awesomely anointing and glorious!! :D Let me know if you wanna come! It starts at 7pm so we need to leave at 6pm latest, or preferably 530pm!

Speak My Lord! Shut Up Satan!

"What do I do?? What do I do?? What do I do??..... Jesus! I need You!! Please speak to me, I need to hear Your voice... I haven't hear Your voice for so long, please speak to me Father... I know I have issues, I have problems and I need help!!! I need Your help Jesus!! Help me... Help me... Help me Father... Hold me and speak to me Lord... Connect my heart with Your heart, I just want to be with You..."

That was my outcry to Jesus yesterday during worship, as I knelt behind the sofa by myself and endless tears dripping down like water dripping from a broken faucet. I didn't know what I was saying but I just needed to pour out my brokenness before Him. I'm learning to be totally real and naked before Him, like what Sarah Allis Yang said, "Don't be afraid to show your real emotion and what you wanted to say to Jesus. He yearns for a real heart to heart relationship with you, not good Christian girls in act." I knew, only in Him can I find my rest and peace.

The truth is, I haven't been able to sleep well this past week. Whenever I lay on my bed, thousands of thoughts would just barge in my head like trains storming from all directions, so loud yet couldn't stop them from rushing in. And I'm really sorry if I texted/called some of you at late hours during my sleepless nights. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me, put the effort to talk to me and trying to help me fall asleep. *big hugs for those awesome friends* You guys are the reason why I can still stand firm and stay encouraged.

Recently, I felt that I'm a mutated Christian. I don't know how to describe it. I still yearn for His love, His Spirit, to be baptized in the Spirit... but when I hear others talking about how crazy the Holy Spirit's fire, electricity, power and all that manifestation goodies, I'm not as excited. When they ask me if I wanted some of that I would even kindly reject. I don't know why, aren't we supposed to be constantly desiring the Holy Spirit wine and constantly be filled by it? Maybe it's because I haven't been reading THAT much Word and spreading THAT much gospel this past month. I don't know, but I felt I'm a spiritual outcast, a weirdo who doesn't want the fire balls, the blue fire, the white fire, the red fire of the Holy Spirit... whatever!

Then when Pastor Mike shared that, "It's ok to start over. It's ok to fall in love with Jesus again. It's ok...." I smiled, I needed to hear that. Thank you Lord. It's true that nothing satisfies when You speaks my name, I felt it when You called me out of the crowd yesterday and used Pastor Mike to prophesy and pray over me. Thank you Father. I love You.

This song came to me when I was broken before Jesus during worship... sorry, wasn't paying much attention to what the worship band was singing, I was paying more attention to Him. I started singing this song, and it describes my heart and feeling so well...

In Your Presence - Jason Upton
Father I am waiting,
I need to hear from You.
To know that You're approving
of what I say and do.

Cause nothing really satisfies
like when You speak my name.
So tell me that You'll never leave
and everything will be okay.

In Your presence, all fear is gone,
in Your presence.
In Your presence, is where I belong,
in Your presence.

Father I'm returning
the things I used to do.
Cause somewhere on the journey
I think I lost hold of the truth.

But nothing really satisfies
like when You speak my name.
So tell me that You'll never leave
and everything will be okay.
Yep, it's gonna be okay... I'm gonna unplug all those thoughts and random emotions at night and gaze upon Your eyes instead! :)
