DRT (Dead Raising Team)

Washington now has a dead raising team made up of believers who will pray for resurrections for those who have died. Forms from the hospital for families to fill out now include not only such options as having a chaplain come visit them but also having their loved one prayed for to be raised from the dead if they pass away. The DRT was given badges from the county as well! It started by a formal student from Redding Bethel Church.

Go download the free sermon of the week from ibethel.org "Don't eat the bones" to hear Pastor Bill talk about it! =)

Where's our persistency??

Tonight I got home, walked passed by my Bible and the Lord said, "Luke 8". I flipped open that book and the title says, "The Parable of the Persistent Widow". Here's the story if you don't already know about it.

"Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said, "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the Earth?" (Luke 8:1-8)

Right now there's so many things going on that we're praying about. At least in Impact, I know that many of us are praying for lots of things and it's very tiring and frustrating sometimes to keep praying for the same things over and over again every day and night.

Here's my daily prayer list... (Yes I try to pray for all of these every single day)
  • TheCall CA
  • Election
  • Pro 8/Pro 4
  • Spiritual warfare among our families
  • Campus revival (UCR)
  • Campus ministry (GTM)
  • Children ministry (W.R.)
  • School of Disciples
  • Jack/Annie
  • Mom's cyst in her womb
  • Seeking the gift of spirit of discernment
I have to be honest, the fire and desire to pray has been diminishing and I really need to get back on my knees again. I have been praying on and off daily WHILE doing many other things, when I should have put everything aside and just focus on the Lord and intercession. I'm still fasting, but now doing a Daniel fast instead of just water/juice. However, I'm not praying as much, and I believe many of you who are fasting are going through the same thing. The prayer fire is so small you can't even feel the impact from it. We need to pray and not give up!! We are God's chosen people and it's our duty to stand at the gap and pray for this land that He assigned us to!! Either it's this State/Nation, your family, campuses and even workplaces. The Lord said, "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before Him in the gap on behalf of the land so He would not have to destroy it" (Ezekiel 22:30).

Brothers and sisters! Let our fire ignite once again and get back on our knees with relentless heart in intercession to see this land be healed and delivered! The election is only a week away. This determines decades of this land's future. So pray hard and harder!! One more thing... Don't ever condemn yourself when you felt like you've failed God or yourself. Condemnation does not come from Him, so just repent, get back on the track, and keep running the race! Your grand reward is ahead so don't give up!!

Talking About Worship During Class

Today during discussion, TA was asking us to give some examples of human nature. People started shooting answers like "Free will", "Language", "Abstract thought", "Reason", "Cooperate society"...etc. I said, "Love" and "Worship". We are created to love and to worship. The TA wrote these two on the board. Then he started using examples and verses from the Bible to teach us about our class materials. He even suggested us to look up some scriptures for references. It was very awesome. People started confessing to each others that they are Christians, and some confessed that they are "former" Christians because they were disagreeing with some of the concepts in the Bible.

We are the ambassadors of heaven.
Wherever we are, we present Him and His Kingdom.
Lord, let there be an increase of opportunities in our daily lives to share and demonstrate Your truth, life, and way. Amen

2 Healings & 3 Angel Feathers

Wednesday night was GTM general meeting. Around 10 people came and we had an awesome time worshiping and really soaking in the Word. I invited Anthony Bowers to come and speak. He's a revivalist who is burning to see the world turned around for Christ. They've got people resurrected from the dead right there at his church! I'm going to the conference at his church tonight with Alice, so excited! My first time going to an African America church!!! :D I heard they dance like crazy and is totally Spirit filled, but also very into the Words as well. I think I'll fit in just fine. Haha. Anthony talked about the armor of God and how it's very important to have the faith of actually wearing the armor. He mentioned that all the parts of the armor are for defending oneself, except the sword, which is to attack the enemy. Also, wearing one piece before wearing the other one so everything will fit perfectly according to God's timing and strategy for warfare. Very awesome sermon. Afterwards I asked evereyone to share one God encounter that they experienced through the week. Two people said they were extremely sore from sports and work-outs, one's had a weak ankle and it's very dangerous to work it too hard or put too much pressure on it for it might snap. We all laid hands on them and prayed for them. Afterwards I asked them to stand up and see if there's anymore soreness. The girl stood up and her face changed immediately. "OOH MY GOOSHHH!!! SHOOOT!!! OOOH MY GOSH!!!" Her soreness was COMPELETELY GONE!! Praise the Lord!! Then the guy stood up too, and he was very very excited as well because his soreness was almost GONE! I believe God's healed his ankle too! They had to leave right then so we didn't get to pray for them a second time. But God's good and faithful!! As we were talking and sharing, I felt a sharp pain between my index finger and middle finger. An ant bit me on my hand! I killed it and didn't take much notice. Then a little bit later... OUCH! Another ant bit me at the same spot! What the heck?? This time, I saw a white feather right next to where my hand was. It looks so familiar, just like those ones that I found right next to my bed, on my carpet, under my roommate's carpet...etc. It's an ANGEL FEATHER!! Then after the meeting, a girl came up to me and show me TWO FEATHERS in her hands. She said she found them right next to her keys! It was awesome!! Boy, God, You are crazy. Used two ants to bite me so I'd see the feather eh? Thanks a lot! lol, I love You!

Ps. Still fasting... grrr... every week people make super crazy deserts for GTM. Last week was apple pie, this week was banana bread, and next week's gonna be cream puffs. Sigh... God, it's gonna be worth it... yea... I know. Persistence.

UCR News - "Recent Study Shows a Dramatic Demographic Shift in Abortions"

Tuesday October 7
By Shabnam Karimhhani

A new study released last month illustrates that there has been a decrease of abortions among younger women and teenagers and an increase of abortions among older women.

The study by the Guttmacher Institute, a private nonprofit reproductive health research organization, is the first comprehensive analysis of abortion demographic characteristics since 1974. Researches found that abortion rates are at their lowest now with an overall drop of 33 percent.

Deborah McCoy, director of the University of California, Riverside Campus Health Center, said she did not think that the study fit the normal trends of what she sees on campus.

While the UCR Campus Health Center only refer to doctors who will perform abortions and does not conduct them, McCoy said that she was surprised to hear that the number of older women conducting abortions was on the rise, as she had always thought it was considerably higher among young women and teenagers.

Kathleen Ibarra, a third year political science major, shared the same sentiments. "It's pretty unbelievable. I thought the teenagers would have more abortions," said Ibarra.

Rachel Jones, a senior research associate at the Guttmacher Institute agreed with Ibarra's assumption.

In an article by the Washington Post, Jones was quoted as saying that the efforts to decline unintended pregnancy should not only be focused on teenagers and young women, but also "among all women."

"The face of women getting abortions has greatly changed in the last 30 years, she it's time that policy-makers realize that," Jones said.

Raiser of the Dead

Baek Un Lee
February 19, 1952 - October 2, 2008

My friend's father was announced brain dead on Oct. 1 and dead on Oct. 2. Two weeks prior to this incident, he was up on the roof fixing things but accidentally fell down and cracked his skull. He went straight into a coma for 2 weeks but didn't make it at the end. During this two weeks, me and some others were praying hard for his life and his soul, for he has not been saved yet. The doctor said he was supposed to die on Oct. 1 because the oxygen level in his brain was too low, but then miraculously it went back up to normal after our prayer. Unfortunately, on Oct. 2 he was announced dead. The funeral was yesterday, the 9th, and the viewing ceremony with open casket was the night before that. Joe and I drove for an hour to the morgue for the viewing ceremony. We wanted to bring her father back to life. It seemed to be a perfect fit of a miracle for the situation, because most of the family members are not saved AND the father was not saved, so it would make perfect sense to bring him back to life, testify Jesus' power and how real He is, let the sign point the people to Jesus for complete salvation. However, the Lord had something else in mind. Of course, we went there in full confidence that Jesus can and will resurrect him for sure that night! As we stood in line to see him one last time, we were both praying very hard inside. When it was my turn, I went straight to the body and stood next to it. Commanding him to wake up in Jesus' Name with the resurrection power that rose Jesus from the grave. Suddenly, my BIG FAITH was cut in half... I stared at the cold and dead body, realizing how freaked out I will be if he really opened his eyes. The thing was, he looked as though he really was going to open his eyes. I was filled with fear, yet the other part of me really wanted to see Jesus perform a miracle through me. I was in a dilemma of whether or not to continue my prayer of bringing him back to life... It was at that moment, I felt the power of death pressuring me. It was to a point where I almost couldn't catch a breath, and my heart was so very heavy. I left the body, hugged my friend, her sister, and her mom, and walked outside. Hoping to pray for the body once again after the ceremony is over, I talked to my friend but her family was leaving so she couldn't do anything about it. On the way back, for the entire hour me and Joe prayed and cried out in the car pleading for His mercy and Jesus' blood to cover him, to raise him up from the dead. During the prayer, I even saw the dad sitting up from the casket, sat down on the bench in the room, confused and couldn't understand what had just happened. After I got home, I asked God for a confirmation to show me that He's with me and in agreement to what I'm trying to do. I told Him, "If You are going to resurrect him tomorrow at the funeral, let both of my hands be covered in gold dust before I sleep tonight." I got home at around 11:30pm, prayed more and finished some school stuffs. Sure enough, I randomly looked at my hands and they were filled with gold dust. Both front and back. Praise the Lord! I had the assurance and peace from God, and then I went to bed.

Next morning, we left at 9:30am for the 11am service at Rose Hill. In the morning God showed me through His still small voice, His Words, and a friend's text message the strategy to raise the dead. I was to preach the Kingdom of God, and then to back the words up with the miracle of resurrection. Most of the family members are not believers, including the deceased father. I asked my friend to see if I can have like 10 minutes to speak to the family, but didn't get that opportunity. My friend said she talked to her aunt, whom she said was like the most holy holy person in the family, and even the aunt said, "I think it's better to just let him go in peace, it's gonna be more painful to have him back and then in the future lose him again." In respect to the family, although I really wanted to just start praying and commanding the father to wake up in Jesus' Name, I didn't do so. We prayed over the body for peace and pleading Jesus' salvation to rain on him by grace, for the dead cannot plead for himself. Lord, please give him another chance, save him by Your mercy and grace. For Your love endures forever. The wonderful thing was, the mom, who was a non-believer, started going to church and praying to Jesus through this period of two weeks. Before we left, I hugged her and said simply, "God bless you." She looks as though she's gonna cry. I'm sure God is moving in a mighty way in the family right now. When there seems to be no way, God can make a way. Thank You Lord for You are always good.

My first ever raising the dead experience. It was truly something. I recognized my little faith and learned to be obedience and faithful even if the result was not what I perceived. All that mattered was He spoke, I listened and I obeyed. You all need to try it sometimes. Your eyes will be opened up and faith be lifted up. Even though it's super scary to pray for a dead body, I guess practice makes perfect. (In this case, practice enlarges our cups and increases our anointing.) Now, where're some more deads? I'm gonna go resurrect them. Call me Raiser of the Dead! HoHoHo!! Jesus rocks!

Victory!!

Tuesday night had our UCR MGM. (Ha, I'm borrowing that name from Impact.) As I told you guys in the previous post about my co-worker, he calls himself a Luciferian and doesn't mind if he gets possessed by demons. Ok, so that's why I'm bringing the entire crew to our restaurant. I wanted to bring in as much light and my comrades of God to that place as possible. Total of around 20 people showed up and I started to share about the prayer movement, "Can I Pray For You?" Encouraging them to start from themselves and take their followers to do it with them, I talked about spiritual warfare. Seriously, God is good! I was able to proclaim God's glory, victory and power over the enemy using tons of God's Words and boldness. As I was declaring the complete and determined victory that God's people already owns before the battle ends, and how badly the enemy is gonna be beaten up and plead us to leave them alone, my co-worker, without me knowing, got out of the restaurant and came back in when I finished talking. (My friend told me that afterwards.) When God's glory and unity among His people are as one, the enemy has no place to stand but to leave our presence. We are called to be the light of the world, and when light enters the room, darkness MUST flee!! I've never felt so good. I felt a great battle was won and victory was given to His people! Praise the Lord!!! Hallelujah!!! Totally... I believe the heaven has opened up when God's people gather together and seek His Kingdom and His will as one body of Christ. Lord, You are so great and awesome! I don't ever want to stop chasing after You!! Yeahhhh~~!!!

Spiritual Warfares

My mom thinks I'm abnormal.

On Sunday morning, as usual I woke up at 5am to pray. I was praying and worshiping. Doing my own style of Harp and Bowl. Holy Spirit totally rocked my socks! I was asking God to anoint my voice, vocal cord, mouth, lips and tongue. A little later my entire face all the way down to my neck, including the inside of my throat and mouth, were numb. Anyway, as I was praying (without knowing what time it was) I felt a stare behind me. I stopped and turned to see who it was, and it was my mom standing by the door. I said, "Yes? Was I too loud? Sorry." She came in and said, "I'm so worried about you. You don't eat, you don't sleep, and you printed your articles with fonts so tiny for your eyes to see. You are old enough to know how to take care of your own body and health." I'm sorry, mom. I made you worry so much, but I haven't changed at all. My inner man have been shaped and grew, but my attitude towards God, family, school and other things are not much different from three years ago. I used to wake up at 5:30am every morning to prayer walk my campus in freshmen year. (Not to brag or anything) I didn't know the articles would print out to be so hard to see. I love God, I love my family, I try hard to study hard at school to glorify His Name, doing every little thing for His Kingdom for His glory... The only tiny difference is that I'm fasting right now. I am still the same Sarah Wang like I used to be. However, mom, this time I will not compromise. It's fine you're not letting us going to church because it's really not about church. At the end of the day, I know that it's my personal time with Jesus that's gonna be reviewed when I stand before Him, not the church or ministry times. I can still have access of Sunday sermons, and I will continue to serve the children as a pastor. In the midst of praying and fasting, I need to worship our sovereign Lord in the presence of the enemies. It's war. It's real. It's fierce. It's painful. However, our Lord God Almighty has already won victory over the power of darkness! Hallelujah! Satan, you have no stand in my family because Jesus Christ has already condemned you to hell for eternal sufferings! This war is victorious because God is able, God can and God will!!

This warfare started 5 weeks ago, this is the 6th week. We'll see how long this wrestle will last.

Something interesting last week...
I found out one of my co-workers is a Satan worshiper... = =+
He said, "I'm not a Satanist. I'm a Luciferian, and I'm serious about it!"
Foolishness. Lord, just slap him awake from this deception and reveal Your light and love to him.

Psalms 149: 6-9

6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,

7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,

8 to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,

9 to carry out the sentence written against them.
This is the glory of all his saints.
Praise the LORD.

This is exactly what Pastor Mike was talking about. Our praise and worship break and destroy the enemies! I'm gonna start praising/worshiping at my work place! Satan, you are going DOWN!!

Counting the Lord's Blessings

The Lord has been blessing me so much at school, and it's only been three days! Let me briefly share what's been going on.

Monday
Our house church, G.T.M. (God Thirst Ministry), had a welcome dinner party at the pool of my apartment. Seriously, we pulled this together just 3 or 4 days before the event. Including inviting people! My roommate, Ruth, and Brenna cooked delicious food + desert. They're so awesome! I was running around like crazy in my house trying to clean and prepare for the party. Originally, we're suppose to have it in my apartment, instead of the pool. However, while I was trying to set everything up, I found out that the light bulb for my room burnt out and as I was trying to get other light bulbs in the house to replace it, none of them worked, I even broke one of them because I was in such a rush... = =+ So we moved to the pool and surprisingly, over 20 people showed up!! And half of them are new comers who don't belong to any campus ministry! The Lord is good! Now it's our job to do the caring network well to keep them and let them feel like home at GTM. I was very worried about this party during the entire weekend because I don't really know what program we can have for it. However, when I was doing last minute before the party, I looked at the clouds and they're just so brilliantly glorious!!! A voice said to me, "Don't you know that the Lord is good?" =)

Tuesday
Woke up at 5 to pray... I'm still doing it everyday!! Yeah!!
I started working at this terriyaki place that's 5 min. away from where I live in Riverside. Thanks Lord! You answered my prayer of finding a job that doesn't take much time, near by, and friendly! =)

Wednesday
Prayed for a guy, John, who broke his ankle about a month ago and it's still trying to heal. He needs to use crutches when he walks because it hurts a lot when he doesn't. When I passed by him he was just sitting at the side, waiting for his ride. I asked him what's wrong and if I could pray for him. He said, "I'm not a Christian but yea you can pray for me." I knelt down and laid my hand on his feet to pray for him. I said a very short one and asked him to test it out by walking without crutches. I asked him if there's any pain left. He said, "NOT AT ALL!" I told him how real Jesus is and that He loves him very much. His ride came right when I was saying that so he walked to the car WITHOUT USING HIS CRUTCHES!!!! xD He was walking fine too!! Praise the Lord!!!!

My friend's dad is in a coma right now. It's been 2 weeks since he fell down from the roof and cracked his skull. He almost died this evening... My friend even texted me, "I'm sorry Sarah." We were praying for over 2 hours for him and just a while ago she texted me that he should be able to wake up in 45 hours. Praise the Lord!! Let's pray for him!! Thank you so much!!
Please click HERE to check his current condition. =)

Ps. Gahhh.... this quarter so much reading ah!! T^T Dying...
