Where's our persistency??

Tonight I got home, walked passed by my Bible and the Lord said, "Luke 8". I flipped open that book and the title says, "The Parable of the Persistent Widow". Here's the story if you don't already know about it.

"Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said, "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the Earth?" (Luke 8:1-8)

Right now there's so many things going on that we're praying about. At least in Impact, I know that many of us are praying for lots of things and it's very tiring and frustrating sometimes to keep praying for the same things over and over again every day and night.

Here's my daily prayer list... (Yes I try to pray for all of these every single day)

I have to be honest, the fire and desire to pray has been diminishing and I really need to get back on my knees again. I have been praying on and off daily WHILE doing many other things, when I should have put everything aside and just focus on the Lord and intercession. I'm still fasting, but now doing a Daniel fast instead of just water/juice. However, I'm not praying as much, and I believe many of you who are fasting are going through the same thing. The prayer fire is so small you can't even feel the impact from it. We need to pray and not give up!! We are God's chosen people and it's our duty to stand at the gap and pray for this land that He assigned us to!! Either it's this State/Nation, your family, campuses and even workplaces. The Lord said, "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before Him in the gap on behalf of the land so He would not have to destroy it" (Ezekiel 22:30).

Brothers and sisters! Let our fire ignite once again and get back on our knees with relentless heart in intercession to see this land be healed and delivered! The election is only a week away. This determines decades of this land's future. So pray hard and harder!! One more thing... Don't ever condemn yourself when you felt like you've failed God or yourself. Condemnation does not come from Him, so just repent, get back on the track, and keep running the race! Your grand reward is ahead so don't give up!!
